Lu Jingren was born in Shanghai, China, in 1947. He served on the editorial committee and was senior art editor for the China Youth Publishing House. During the 1990s, he studied with designer, Prof. Sugiura kohei of the College of Art Engineering in Kobe, Japan. In 1998, Lu Jingren established JINGREN ART DESIGN STUDIO. He is currently professor of Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University and guest professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
